Tshiko

A Male Shih Tzu presently Adopted

Tshiko is this week’s poster boy for a dog in need of immediate assistance.  He arrived at the Lasalle Veterinary Hospital with a broken leg involving multiple fractures as a result of an attack by another dog.  He required immediate, extensive surgery that his family could not afford.  Dr. Plasse, our Vet and Superman to many of our dogs in need of “repair”, performed the surgery so that Tshiko could be pain free.  The surgery involved pins and clamps to stabilize the leg.  He longs for the day when his human will take him home and fill his life with love, cuddles, and belly rubs.  In the meantime, he is in very good hands with his special Foster Mom who is giving him a little extra TLC during his recuperation.  For the next few weeks, he will be checked out by Dr. Plasse and exercise will be limited.  His Foster Mom says he is a very sweet and affectionate boy and gets along with the other dogs in the house. He is handling his recuperation very calmly and shows his appreciation with his constant wagging tail.   Stay tuned for more updates on Tshiko.

Once again Animatch had to dip into their emergency funds but what better reason than to give relief to a dog like Tshiko in a time of crisis.  This can only keep on happening through the generous hearts of people who donate when a dog is in need.  For those who continue to do so, we are infinitely grateful.
