Toxon

A Male Mixed Breed presently Adopted

Toxon became one of Animatch’s more popular dogs this summer as we tracked the many weeks that he was roaming around the Eastern Townships.  He managed to survive thanks to many good Samaritans who ensured he was fed.  His insecurity and fear made him impossible to catch.  Well, when he was finally caught and was returned to Animatch, we knew exactly the person who could give him some individual attention and get him ready for his forever family.  Toxon is with our very experienced Foster Mom, Lori, and he is bonding with her.  In fact, when she gets home, he is very excited; he is a very typical tail wagging, bouncy boy who is just looking for affection.  Toxon is great with other dogs; he loves to roughhouse with his foster brother.  He is regaining his confidence day by day.  At first walks were a challenge but he now walks proudly with his tail out and head held high.  Socialization must continue for Toxon; lots of walks in areas where he will meet other people is important.  He is always ready for a car ride so if you are going to meet friends or family, he will gladly accompany you.  He is still very fearful around men.  For that reason, it is so important for him to continue to be socialized and experience new situations.  Also, a fenced yard is a must.  Toxon was originally given up because his guardian was ill.  We intend to find him a home where he will experience the same kind of love and devotion that he once knew.  Would it be yours?  Please fill in an Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Toxon.
