A Male Chihuahua presently Adopted

My name is Toby and I may be small but I am mighty and very brave.   I was so afraid when we first arrived; I was given up because my family was going through some difficult times.  I’m a two-year-old, Chihuahua – a very unusual brindle Chihuahua, I might add.  I was very fearful at first and was trying to warn people to leave me alone by snapping at them – deep down, I’m a real sweetie and didn’t mean to act that way.   Now I can see that the Volunteers only want what’s best for me and I am more relaxed every day.  In fact, in order to give me a little more one-on-one, a terrific Foster family was chosen for me and now I quite enjoy when they hold and cuddle me.    I need a patient person who will use positive reinforcement to help me learn that I can trust people again.   It won’t be difficult because I absolutely love a yummy treat as a reward.  I am quick to sound the alarm, so apartment/condo living might not be for me.  I will need daily walks.  Despite my small size, I am quite agile and enjoy running in the yard, walking around the neighbourhood, and playing with toys.  I would not be suitable for young children; older, respectful children who know how to treat a little guy would best suit me.  I’m a lovable fellow who will make a wonderful snuggle bug for the right family.  Just give me some time to settle in and then I’ll really turn on the charm.   So, are you ready to share fun, excitement and companionship for many years.  Fill in the Adoption Form soon … with this cute face, I may not be around for long.
