A Female Nordic mix presently Available For Adoption

Snowy here and I am a proud Northern mix who is at Animatch thanks to the Nordic Paws Project.  The new photos (coming soon) that you see of me will be slightly different – I’ll still be a stunning beauty but I will be a “tri-pawd”.  Sadly, as a result of a badly injured hind leg, the doc confirmed that “the leg has gotta go" and last week my hind leg was amputated.   We Northern Dogs are a resilient bunch and I know for a fact that better days await me.  I would love nothing more than to recuperate in my very own home.

And guess what, for the first time ever Animatch is considering a prosthetic leg for one of their adoptees and I am going to be the lucky recipient. We will be looking into that in the next few days; I can’t wait to be fitted.  Some dogs would be traumatized for years by all this but I choose to go with the flow and keep my hopes up and my tail wagging eager to become someone’s new dog.

During yappy hour, I hear the humans around here talking about “how money doesn’t grow on trees” and that “there is no tooth fairy”.  Who knew?  Also, that surgeries such as mine and prosthetics take up a lot of the Animatch savings.  I really do want them to be able to help other dogs such as myself – for us, Animatch may be our only hope!  When one of us is in trouble – where do we turn?  To you, our loyal supporters.  So, I’m asking you to please consider making a donation to help alleviate the costs.  Your donations – both big and small – are so appreciated.  Thank you so much for your support.

Am I ready for a dog?

Adopting a dog is a life-changing event--or should be. A dog needs lots of time and attention and you've got to be there every day to give it. So, BEFORE filling out the Animatch adoption form, find out whether you're ready for a dog, or would be happier with a goldfish instead: Fill this great questionnaire now to find out if you are ready for a dog.
