Sabine

A Female Wire-haired Fox Terrier presently Adopted

My name is Sabine and my favorite pastime is going for long walks.  My leash manners are top-notch!  I’ll have you know that not only am I very gorgeous, I have a very sweet disposition. Like all Fox Terriers, I am spunky, fearless, and loyal and promise to be a wonderful companion to the person who adopts me.  I have spent my entire life with the same family but because they were moving to an apartment, they could not take me along.  I was devastated when I lost my home and Animatch felt that I could use some one-on-one attention.  They had just the place for me -- I am with my very experienced Foster Mom and her dogs.  While Animatch was told that I was not great with other dogs, I do respect and get along with her dogs.  I prefer dogs my size or larger; cats on the other hand, no way!   I am being treated for allergies, ear infection, and eye infection which are probably all related.  Also, I had a few little cysts removed; I am now as good as new.  Although I have never lived with children, I think I would get along well with respectful children who know proper etiquette when around dogs.  There is nothing that makes me feel better at the end of a day than to curl up in a lap and just soak up the love. I have had more than eight years to practice the art of being someone’s beloved pet, so don’t pass me by for one of those young ones!  My Foster Mom and I are working very hard on toilet training; this recent upheaval in my life seems to have played havoc on my ability to ask for the door!  Lots of patience and consistency are all that is required; after all I am a Terrier and we are smart cookies.  So, what do you think? Do I sound like a candidate for your love?

NOTE: No apartments/condos (whining/barking when alone)
