A Male Labrador-x presently Available For Adoption
If you looked into these big brown eyes that seem to be saying, “Can I please have a cookie?”, would you give in? Or, would you be able to bend down and talk to Oliver, scratch his ears, go outside on the deck, distract him. If you can’t do it, then you must pass up the chance of adopting this wonderful dog. You wouldn’t be doing him a favor. Because we don’t want him to see an early death or spend his life fighting health problems, Animatch needs to know that you are going to do everything possible to help Oliver lose weight and most importantly maintain it. The extra pounds are placing stress on his bones, ligaments, and joints not to mention are causing decreased stamina, heat intolerance, and difficulty breathing. In a nutshell, letting him continue like this is diminishing the quality and length of his life. Oliver is an amazing dog who absolutely loves his big brother, Wally; in fact, he can regularly be found by his side as if encouraging him to get up. This was not done to them purposely by their family; it was a problem that just escalated. That part of their life is over and now we are looking for a guardian who has the compassion and patience – with lots of love thrown in – to give this fellow back his life. If you want to make a difference in a sweet and lovable dog’s existence, please consider adopting Oliver.
You will be contacted for an interview only if you meet all the criteria and could potentially be a suitable match. Animatch does retain applications for two months and you could be contacted within that period for another dog or puppy. There is no need to complete more than one application. Please understand that every decision Animatch makes is with the dog’s best interest in mind.
