A Female Husky-x presently Adopted

UPDATE:  November 28:  Why am I still here?  Is it because I’m not blonde?  Is it because I am no particular breed?  Is it because I could lose a pound or two?  If you adopt me you will be adopting a dog who will show her gratitude to you for the rest of her life.  I’ve even stopped climbing the fence to improve my chances.  I’ve come out of my shell and I am a friendly, sweet dog who gets along splendidly with other dogs and humans.  That shyness has completely gone and I am so ready to move on.  In the past month or so I’ve seen dog after dog leave and much as I am happy for them … don’t you think it’s about time my family shows up to claim me.  Although I will be happy to join you on daily walks, I am not hyper and will be quite content to chill right beside you.  I’m the type of girl who’ll do my best to fit in anywhere so long as there is fun to be had, and no cats are around!   So how about you fill in an application and then you might be called to bring the family in to meet me—I don’t think you could ask for anything more in a new best friend!

Nahak is my name and I am a bashful girl -- not too bold, sensitive but fairly easy to get to know.  You merely have to give me some time.   I need a calm and patient home to start.   Thanks to the Northern Paws Project, I will soon be on my way to my very first real home. My few years I was homeless and learned that being a roaming dog is a tough life; except I can’t let my past define my future.  I would benefit from someone who is savvy about Northern dogs – we are one of a kind.  Our aloof, independent nature sometimes gives people the impression that we don’t want attention.  Let me tell you, nothing could be further from the truth.  Once I know you, I promise to be the cuddly, loveable caring type who wants to be close to you.  If you would like to take me to obedience training, I will try my hardest to show you just how smart I am.  I get along with other dogs but please no cats!   I am going to need daily exercise – walks, hikes, etc.  If you like winter sports, I’d be so happy to accompany you since winter is a Northern dog’s favorite season.  By the way, I can climb a six-foot fence if I am bored or there is someone I know on the other side.  So, lots of walks would be the best way to exercise.  My dream is to be the dog that someone is proud to welcome into their family.  I know there is a family out there waiting to love me with everything they got, and I am ready to return that love tenfold.  If you would like to adopt me, please fill in an adoption form.
