Maggey

A Female Lhasa Apso-x presently Adopted

Maggey here and I am being checked out by my foster family and I’m passing everything with flying colours.  Not to say that my previous family was entirely wrong but you have to understand dogs and their needs.  I will require someone with experience and who gets that I need lots of exercise and activity.  My Foster Mom has left me alone several times and has come home to no surprises … she gives me a big smile and a “good girl!”.  When I meet another dog when I am walking on leash, I bark and sometimes try to lunge.  She just turns around and goes the other way … she gives me a big smile and a “good girl!”  I have been sleeping in my crate overnight in the same room as my foster parents – I feel better when I know that they are close.  I get along fabulously with my foster canine siblings.  My Foster Mom is very proud of the fact that I do not pester the cat …. she gives me a big smile and a “good girl”.  So, I’m on the lookout an active family who will include me in a lot of their adventures and give me LOTS of exercise.  If I can find the right match for myself, I promise to be your “good girl” forever.

There is no doubt I am the perfect dog for the job. The job of loving you and giving you that special feeling only dog guardians will ever experience.  You know what I’m talking about? That you are the center of my universe because my life revolves around your love, training, patience, and consistency?  I’m basically perfect in every way!  Ok, so that is a bit of a stretch.  I have tons of really great qualities, and one not so great.  I was adopted and returned after a few weeks because I have separation anxiety.  When I am alone, I pee and poop in the house.  So, I know that you might have to go out at times but I would prefer a home where I am not alone the entire day.  I am a very busy girl and in addition to lots of walks, I need mental stimulation too.  Also, if I’ve got something to say, I am going to say it (bark), there’s no holding back my opinions, especially if I’m alone.  So, apartment/condo living just isn’t my bag.  I get along with other dogs and would welcome sharing my space with a canine buddy.  Since I am so smart and always looking for a challenge, obedience training would be recommended.  If you are into dog sports, such as agility, you won’t find a more willing participant.  You get the picture, I’m searching for an active lifestyle.
