A Female Beldi (Morocco) presently Available For Adoption
Morocco with its exquisite food, breathtaking desert, beautiful beaches, rich history and culture, has a huge population of street dogs. Canada, and Quebec in particular, does not have a stellar reputation when it comes to dogs. However, in our country we have far more rescues, shelters, animal control staff, which makes the issue less visible. So, no pats on the back for us. When it comes to Libby – all we are trying to do is give her a chance at life as a family dog. Libby is a one-year old Beldi, which is a special breed with origins in Northern Africa. Introductions must be slow and easy, once Libby is comfortable in your presence, you will have a friend forever. She is easily intimidated by other dogs, so she would either enjoy being an only dog or co-existing with one that respects her space. She would be perfect to join an experienced family of adults as she would not be happy in a family with a busy lifestyle. Libby would so appreciate a home with a few soft beds and lots of toys – she loves her toys! Of course, she would benefit immensely from obedience training; she will be an eager student. Libby suffered two fractures on her front leg which results in a very slight limp when she is tired. She may never be a champion agility dog but she can definitely enjoy her walks and play sessions with other dogs. Libby is an amazing dog who is ready to put her past behind her and take her next step into her forever home. If you think it could be yours, please fill in the Adoption Form.
