Lana

A Female Canadian presently Available For Adoption

Lana here and I’m a shy petite beauty, cute as a button and full of potential.  But I’m not there yet.  Too much activity and too many probing hands make me nervous and at times I can be a mite reactive.  I was transferred from AMR, I was identified as an “unclaimed stray”; Animatch prefers the term “unclaimed treasure”.  If I could talk, no doubt I’d have a long story to tell.  Now and then I wish I could travel back in time to when I was brave, loved, and protected.  Who knows maybe that time never existed – at least I have that to look forward to.  I yearn for the day when I will feel that everything is going to be okay; the day when I have a patient and gentle family who will give me the stability I so desperately crave.  For sure I need an experienced family who will go slow and know just how much to prod and encourage me.  Of course, nothing helps more than obedience training to boost a girl’s confidence.  Although I get along with other dogs, I tend to protect my personal space and all the stuff in it.  Definitely, an adult family would best suit me because I can be a bit touchy when it comes to surprises or “grabby hands” so I need humans who understand how to respect my boundaries.  I so look forward to the day when I wake up and know that this is my life and I won’t ever have to move again.  Are you up for the challenge?  Ready to take the pledge?  To promise to devote the time, energy, and commitment that I will require for the rest of my life.  Well then, get on with it.  Fill in the Adoption Form and ask for LANA.

“Your dog will never wake up one day and decide he doesn’t love you anymore.”

Am I ready for a dog?

Adopting a dog is a life-changing event--or should be. A dog needs lots of time and attention and you've got to be there every day to give it. So, BEFORE filling out the Animatch adoption form, find out whether you're ready for a dog, or would be happier with a goldfish instead: Fill this great questionnaire now to find out if you are ready for a dog.
