Jigger

A Male Beagle-x presently Adopted

UPDATE - JULY:  Sometimes love just isn’t enough!   Jigger here and I’m back; no one’s fault, it is just that my separation anxiety reared its ugly head a few weeks after I was adopted.  In order to let everyone know that I was in distress I howled, barked and became somewhat of a “home wrecker”.  That doesn’t go over well in a condo – even one that welcomes dogs.  Sadly, my human thought that it was best that I find a family that is better suited to me and my littler quirks.  I really would benefit from a home where I am not alone the entire day – lots of in and out activity would suit me fine.  Of course, this time a house with a fenced yard would be important (no condos or townhouses for this guy).  I have an awesome personality and love everyone I meet.  Long walks are important and time spent walking with you will be the favorite part of my day.  if you’ve got the what it takes to give me my furever home, then I’m ready to be the new addition to your family.  Fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Jigger.

My name is Jigger and I was a stray.  The nice people at Animatch have promised that they will do everything in their power to make sure that another human never lets me down again.   If you would like to adopt me or any of my canine pals, please realize that adopting a dog is not something to take lightly.  You should only adopt me if you intend to keep me for the rest of my life.  I don’t ever want to be wandering the streets again!

Everyone seems to think that I have Beagle in my mix – with maybe a little of this and a little of that added to make me even more unique!  My breed doesn’t really matter.  I’ll accept you -- no matter what color, what age, or what you look like – if you accept me.  All I will see (if you treat me right and share your love with me) is that you are my world!  Keep in mind that each dog, no matter what breed, has his own unique personality.  Although I have had my share of ups and downs, I am super friendly, social, and love to interact with people!  The biggest treat that you can give me is long walk to exercise my nose – I can’t just turn it off, my desire to follow scents is part of me.   For that reason, a Beagle-proof fenced yard is a must.   I have the potential of being a well-behaved and well-mannered dog, but you will have to help me along the way.  Since I do want to please and make an impression on my new guardian, I would love to do obedience classes and show you how truly smart I am!  If you are living in an apartment or condo, I would not be the right choice for you.   Any activity that we do together will be fun; I am looking for someone with an upbeat personality.   I need a home, you want a faithful friend – let’s make it happen.  Fill in that Adoption Form and remember, the name is Jigger.

Fun fact:  A beagle's sense of smell is 1,000 - 10,000 times greater than a human's.
