A Male Husky-x presently Available For Adoption
UPDATE - June: Hey Hester checking in again – weeks have gone by and here I am …. still waiting. It has been nearly seven months since I arrived at Animatch. My Foster Mom and Dad love me but feel sad that no one else is having the pleasure of watching me grow up into a fine dog. Many people who live in apartments/condos have applied but my family says that I so love the outdoors, that it would be a shame for me not to have my own yard. An experienced guardian would suit me perfectly as I can get a little temperamental when I am tired. If you have another dog, I do get along with large and small dogs. I do demand a lot of attention, so your dog must be willing to share your affection. I still pull like a train on lead but nothing that obedience training can’t fix. If you enjoy a loving and demonstrative dog, you won’t find one who will lavish you with more love and doggy kisses than I. I may never win the Doggy Olympics but I’ll come first for Most Affectionate Dog hands down.
UPDATE: Hester checking in … spring has sprung and I’m still waiting for a home. I absolutely adore my foster Mom and Dad; I’m feeling safe and secure. I do know that my Foster parents will be sad to see me leave but they know that there is a family out there who will love me as much as they do. My Foster Mom put together a little story about some of my best qualities (and I have many). Here you go.
Hester is such a good boy and fun to be around. He has a great personality and makes me laugh often. His favorite pastimes include crawling over all obstacles to snuggle in for cuddles, greeting with a hug, and belly and bum rubs.
He's not a big barker and I've never heard him growl, instead he sings. He also sings when he's excited to see other dogs, which needs some work as he can scare his buddies away with it. News papers, bills, paper of any kind cannot be left in his sight, unless you need it shredded, he's great at that!
This sweet boy is going to get a big head soon, strangers keep complementing him on his good looks whenever he's out for walks or partying.
As for his neurological issues, other than being a bit weaker in hind legs, he's a perfectly normal dog. He has no limitations; he loves to jump, play and run around with othehr dogs and even by himself. He's very obedient and easy to train. The furever home that lands this guy will have a fantastic loving and active companion.
Hester's Foster Mom
Meet Hester who is always curious and friendly – he could very certainly be awarded the job of Animatch greeter. Hester is at Animatch thanks to the Nordic Paws Project. Three of his siblings – Abba, Sheba, and Handee – were on our Adoptees page not that long ago and all are currently enjoying life as a family dog. Like his littermates, Hester as well has some neurological problems which result in difficulty with his fine motor skills. He may not be a contestant in the Doggy Olympics but he has so much to offer. He’s not perfect but he’s not looking for perfection in his human either. His condition in no way prevents him from going for walks, enjoying the winter sunshine or accepting love and scratching form humans. Hester enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well with a canine companion. Could you be the one to give Hester a home where he’ll be loved and cherished for the rest of his life? Don’t feel sorry for him – adopt him! Fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Hester.
