A Female Nordic mix presently Available For Adoption
I’ve always dreamed of being part of a family and Animatch agrees that now is my time. I’ve made the long journey from Whapmagoostui except I had to leave so many behind. Special thanks to the Northern Paws Project who persist in their goal of making a difference one dog at a time. Despite a harsh beginning, I will never feel alone again. The volunteers say that I have a calm and wise aura that will make a family happy to share their life with me. I know and respect my heritage as a Northern Dog but my dream is that someday measures can be put in place to solve the overpopulation of dogs once and for all. Transportation is a huge issue in my community and Veterinary care is non-existent so puppies continue to be born without anyone to care for them. Many die and rarely do you see any senior dogs; winter is the toughest time for us because there is not enough food or proper shelter. In my case, just before leaving to come to Animatch I was attacked by a group of dogs; I was in heat so that may have set things off. Now that I am safe at Animatch, I have been sterilized and my dog bites have been taken care of and are healing. I have demodex (a skin condition) and it is presently being treated with medication; demodex is not contagious to humans, dogs or cats. Being a Northern girl means I absolutely adore open air activities and would best suit an energetic, outdoorsy family. Don’t forget I require a good bit of attention to make up for lost time so I would not be happy spending the day on my own. Rumour has it that I am quite the smarty-pants; I really aim to please. I know that I would be an A-Student in obedience training so let’s make that happen. With your guidance and commitment, I am confident that I can be the dog of your dreams. Won’t you feel cool having a “Northern Star” at the end of your leash. Let’s make both our dreams come true! Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt me.
