Chickpea

A Male Mixed Breed presently Adopted

At Animatch, stories get written and pages get turned …. I can’t wait to start a new chapter in my life.  I was transferred to Animatch by the Mistassini Animal Control.  As you can see by my fur, I have a very thick undercoat because I spent most of my time outside scrounging for food and trying to stay out of people’s way.  Sometimes it’s hard to be a homeless dog in a world full of them, but believe me I have been made to feel special here.  When I arrived, I wasn’t the friendliest dude but the Volunteers know the way to a dog’s heart – good food, lots of cuddles, a very soft bed.  I have even burrowed under the covers a few times.  Most importantly, they gave me some space and some time to adjust.  Today, I am happy and ready to be all that I can be in a home that showers me with love and shows me the ropes.  I think that some obedience training and socializing around the neighbourhood would start building my confidence.  Now I am a dog on the lookout for a family.  If you want to make a little slice of the world a better place, you can start by adopting me.   I would do better in an adult home or one with respectful older children; another dog in the home would be okay too.  So, can I be your numero uno?  I promise to do a fine job.   Fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Chickpea!
