Cassius

A Male Mixed Breed presently Adopted

Cassius here and if I had thumbs I’d be twiddling them!  Talk about a snooze fest – just sitting around doing nothing.  Clearly, hanging out with my canine pals here at the Centre is a blast and it’s unquestionably great socialization.  Then again, what I really, really crave is my very own family -- people to spend time with, people to cherish, people to protect, people to whom I can show off what an awesome and intelligent boy I am.  I have a little catching up to do in the etiquette department.  You see I am from the Mistassini region where there are just too many dogs and not enough people who can take care of us.  I never had a human to teach me.  I am as strong as an ox and will pull you wherever you want to go – I should say wherever I want to go.  Volunteers all agree that obedience training is a necessity.  I sense that this will give us the chance to know each other and develop a bond based on mutual trust and respect.  I want a family who can meet my exercise requirements – I am only two and definitely need a few long walks every day.  Every night I dream about my life as a family dog – a place where I will eat good food, sleep on a comfy bed, and play a lot.  Would it be your home?  I could be your greatest champion!  All you have to do is look into your heart and find the love and commitment required.  Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt me.

Am I ready for a dog?

Adopting a dog is a life-changing event--or should be. A dog needs lots of time and attention and you've got to be there every day to give it. So, BEFORE filling out the Animatch adoption form, find out whether you're ready for a dog, or would be happier with a goldfish instead: Fill this great questionnaire now to find out if you are ready for a dog.
