A Male Mixed Breed (Lebanon) presently Adopted

UPDATE -Feb 23:  If you have read my bio, you know that I had it pretty rough in my formative months.  Many people who went through what I did would be ready to swear off humanity.  Like all dogs, I am very forgiving and resilient.  My past doesn’t stop me from believing that there are good people out there who are willing to give me a chance.  I finally feel safe in the world but something is missing and what I yearn for is a family to call my own.   I promise to bring you such joy and brighten up your world but you need to give me a chance.  Just because I, along with several other dogs, are at FIC doing training doesn’t mean we are less deserving.  To the contrary, our shortcomings were identified early and every day we work on them.  When you adopt a dog that has gone through training and you listen to the advice given by good people here, you will have the tools to continue.  If you adopt another dog, the responsibility is on you to find the weak points and work on them.  I’m here, I’m ready, please consider adopting me!

In the dog world, I am considered a hunk.  Close your eyes and make a wish. You want a fine-looking friend to join your family? Well, here I am.  My littermate, Moon and I, recently made the long journey from Lebanon; we lived on the streets of Beirut where we were born.  Despite my sketchy past, I have a zest for life, never-ending doggy love, and potential for greatness that is relentless!  Can you help harness my exuberance and guide me to being into the best dog I can be?  Yes, it will take some time, training, and patience until I can profess to be a good canine citizen, but together we would be unstoppable.  Anyhow, they say it is the journey not the destination that matters.  I am rather rambunctious and don’t always realize my own size.  I would much prefer being an only dog though with proper introductions to other dogs who are not dominant, I am fine.  Insofar as cats are concerned, I don’t party with them!  Volunteers have taken me for walks and despite rarely having been walked on leash, I did well.  With obedience training and some practice, I will shine.  Then, when we are side by side years down the road and someone mentions what a well-behaved dog I am, you can feel proud that you helped make me that way!  So, what are you waiting for?  Fill in the Adoption Form and I swear if we meet, you will fall under my charm!  After all I am such a “Good Boy”.
