Austin

A Male Beagle presently Adopted

Austin was adopted from Animatch in 2015 and would probably have spent the rest of his life with his human but life threw them a curve ball.  Austin’s home was lost in the recent flooding and his guardian had to make the difficult decision to give him up.  Austin is a typical, nose-to-the ground kind of guy; he will need an experienced guardian who will give him the exercise and stability that he craves.  Austin, like most Beagles, is not the dog for apartment or condo living.  He needs a Beagle-proof fenced yard to keep him safe.  Since he has not lived with children, a home with respectful older children would best suit him.  Don’t think that Austin is too old for obedience training; Beagles are working dogs and love to exercise their brain as well as their body.  He will need lots of walks – being a Beagle means that he requires the stimulation of discovering new scents in the neighbourhood.  He can be selective insofar as other canines are concerned, so a home without other dogs would be ideal.  Austin has many good years ahead of him and hopes to find a Beagle lover to call his own.  If you have room in your heart and your home, please fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Austin.
