A Male Labrador-x presently Adopted

My name is Austen and I am a wealth of knowledge and awareness on all points pertaining to love, loyalty and companionship.  I’ll provide you with all the youthful energy and doggy kisses you could ever ask for.  You could say that this guy just likes to have fun!  I am a very social dog in all circles – human and canine -- but when it comes to felines, not so much.  I may be all grown up but I am still a puppy at heart and I have a winding road of training ahead to make me the greatest dog that I can be.  Greatness doesn’t happen overnight, so it’s a good thing that we will have many years together and we can start as soon as you adopt me.   First on the agenda is getting me accustomed to walking on leash without dragging you like a train.  Of course, you must give me some time to explore and smell – that is how we dogs take in the world … we use our nose.  Maybe we can even dedicate one of our walks to being a “smell walk”.  In any case, after that’s out of the way, then we can do some serious walking with me by your side.  I’m still such a pup at heart that I don’t think I’d be happy spending my days alone; I need more stimulation than just snoozing away the day.  I guess you are wondering how a catch like me ends up needing a home.  My family just felt that they no longer had the time for me …. bummer but I don’t hold a grudge.  So, to all you Lab lovers out there, here I am and I’m ready to roll.  Fill in the Adoption Form and keep this in mind, “if you don’t have the time, don’t do the crime of adopting a Lab.”
