Arabel

A Female Canadian presently Adopted

My name is Arabel and this charming face has a sad tail. I am only 8 months old and already quite unsure of humans and new situations.  What a shame that my short life has already been so scary for me.  I was taken in by AMR where I waited to be claimed; that never happened.  Animatch opened their doors to me and promise that I shall not be homeless ever again.  Life on the streets with no one to show me the way is not a life for any dog, let alone a pup.  I had no one to love me, cuddle me, teach me that humans can be caring and affectionate.  The great thing is that I have plenty of time to learn. I just need a very patient and committed family to give me a home. You know that I am an all-Canadian girl which means that I may not be recognized as “pure” but I have the same love of a Kong stuffed with peanut butter as any CKC registered dog!  The people at Animatch do sense that I have some herding genes in my mix.  They see my trying to herd and nip – so no young kids.  In any case, rowdy kids make me nervous.  My wish is to find a family where I will not be alone the entire day; I’ve been alone too much as a puppy and we need to make up for lost time.  What do you think about taking me home and start loving me right away— we’ve got some lost time to make up for!   Please fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Arabel.

Am I ready for a dog?

Adopting a dog is a life-changing event--or should be. A dog needs lots of time and attention and you've got to be there every day to give it. So, BEFORE filling out the Animatch adoption form, find out whether you're ready for a dog, or would be happier with a goldfish instead: Fill this great questionnaire now to find out if you are ready for a dog.
