Alfroux

A Male Nordic mix presently Adopted

I sit here and look out into the autumn sky and just dream of my first family. I wonder who they will be and what they will be like. What kind of new things do they want to show me? Will they give me a soft bed?  Will they take me for long walks?   I don’t need anything fancy, but it is nice to fantasize about what kind of life I will have.  Thanks to the Nordic Paws Project I will soon be experiencing a whole new life.  One question that Animatch hears all the time from potential adopters is, “what breeds are in his mix?”  I’ll let you in on a little secret – they have no idea!   Labelling me by my outward appearance is not going to give you any clue as to my past or future behaviour.  I have more in common genetically with ALL dogs than I do with one or two breeds.  I know it sounds more exotic to tell your friends I am a Yellow Labrador Retriever x German Shepherd than a dirty-blond coloured dog with a scar above his eye.   Get to know me, the rest won’t matter.  One thing that all the dogs at Animatch have in common is the desire to be someone’s best friend.  So, if you are looking for a handsome dude to share your life, ask for me.  The name is Alfroux.

Am I ready for a dog?

Adopting a dog is a life-changing event--or should be. A dog needs lots of time and attention and you've got to be there every day to give it. So, BEFORE filling out the Animatch adoption form, find out whether you're ready for a dog, or would be happier with a goldfish instead: Fill this great questionnaire now to find out if you are ready for a dog.
