The Three Musketeers have gone home

We are happy to announce that our Three Musketeers have found their homes, so they will not be going on our Adoptees page.

Look who just arrived at Animatch ... Aramis, Porthos, and Athos.  And, if you happen to be looking for a Christmas give, well it won’t be any one of the Musketeers.  While dog lovers all know that being guardian to a dog is so rewarding, giving a pet as a gift to someone else, whether at Christmas or any other time of year, is not a good idea.  A dog shouldn’t be considered as a Christmas gift as, say  Play Station 4.  In fact, if people stopped buying puppies we would see less of these puppies in rescue/shelters.  If you are truly looking to help a dog (or a cat), you can even consider covering the cost of spaying or neutering an adult dog (or cat).  Regardless of the reason the animal is not spayed/neutered, you would be doing the dog a service and avoiding the birth of yet more puppies.  If you feel you must get a dog at this time of year, consider wrapping a collar, book on dogs, toys, etc., along with a certificate saying that you will adopt from a rescue/shelter in the New Year.

The Musketeers  will remain at Animatch through the holiday season; they will go to their new homes in the New Year.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.  What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”  Jane Goodall
