Animatch has been so fortunate over the past few years to have Monica Turner, long-time Volunteer, as a Foster Mom extraordinaire to so many of our puppies. Fostering puppies can be one of the most rewarding parts of rescue but also one of the most time-consuming. Aside from the cuteness factor, they are a LOT of work. Before four weeks old, it is pretty much a breeze but Monica usually gets the pups after this period – when the real work starts. That’s when she takes over training, socializing, supervising, sprinkled with lots of kisses and belly rubs. Mops, paper towels, and are never far from her side. Monica will be taking a much-needed break for a few weeks until “foster withdrawal” sets in and she gets back in the game.
Although much of Monica’s time is spent with “her pups” and her own dogs, she has another passion – fashion and her beloved city, Montreal. A few months ago, she started her own blog letting people get a glimpse of the real Monica and her adventurous spirit. Animatch would like to invite you into her world to get a hint of how diverse her interests are. Her positive attitude no matter what she takes on is contagious.
